Monmouthshire County Council is currently considering a range of preventative measures at Caldicot Leisure Centre and Chepstow Leisure Centre aimed at reducing the risk of future unauthorised encampments.

As part of this work, the Council is assessing potential options and associated costs whilst seeking to strike an appropriate balance between preventing unauthorised access, maintaining the appearance of these sites, and supporting their role as attractive and accessible community spaces.

Any proposed measures will be considered through the Council’s appropriate decision-making processes.

Further updates will be provided in due course.
